Chatterton scatters more paper. Mundy enters. Chatterton spasmodically/neurotically/energetically dances between lines. Occasionally the four not on stage chase each other across the stage.

Mundy: You have to eat.

Chatterton: I'm fine.

Mundy: Come to my mother's for dinner.

Chatterton: I'm fine.

Mundy: Tonight.

Chatterton: I'm not hungry.

Mundy: You're not eating a thing.

Chatterton: I dine upon my nails.

Mundy: You must sleep. You never sleep.

Chatterton lies down to sleep and then suddenly frenetically jumps up again. Music fades. Mundy sits on the end of the couch.
